Spurs in 5.
This is a man's game, no room for Kidds.:flame:

I have to say nets in seven because I think Kidd will give San Antonio loads of trouble.
So JAG...What happend in game 2? :D
Maybe if Duncan brushed up on his free throws, they wouldn't have lost by 2 measly points? ;)
The entire team (Spurs) overall was 56% from the line, that's pathetic..

Spurs held the Nets to the usual below 40%.
Freethrows have been a problem all year, this is not new. Duncan had a few stink streaks with every team so far in the Finals, I see no reason NJ should be any different.
The Spurs will have to play past the refs as well as the Nets.
A lot of calls are just not being made. Only the egregious ones like Mutumbo pushing Parker down and stepping on him still take almost 5 seconds for a whistle to blow.
Get real were we watching the same game?
But try and wrap your brain around the fact that if the Spurs had their freethrow game together, none of these games would even be close.
This team roster is ONE YEAR old.
The mistakes are common for all rookie teams.
Unlike rookie teams SA don't get shut out often.
If NJ is counting on Duncan's game to be off more often than not through out this series, they are in for a big suprise.
I have no fear, NJ was clutching their seats until 4.3 seconds were left in the game, victory wasn't even sure until then.
The Spurs were doing fine, they were just afraid to shoot for some reason.
Every game that SA has lost has been from lower shot attempts.
SA held NJ to below 40%, but NJ's overall number of made shots compensated.
SA had a higher percentage, but fewer made.
A statistical anamoly nothing more.
The team with the higher shooting percentage will always win in a series.
A few bum games a nothing more than flukes.
PHX has two to remember.
As does LA.
And the Mavs as well.
I expect nothing less from NJ.
I still expect 5 games, but 6 is more realistic.
7, that's dreaming.
If Kobe and Shaq couldn't do it in 6 what the hell makes you think Kidd and Co can?
Spurs held the Nets to the usual below 40%
Who won the game again? ;)
But try and wrap your brain around the fact that if the Spurs had their freethrow game together, none of these games would even be close.
LMAO, no need to get all personal and sensitive. I can do the same for you and stoop to the level of name caling but I doubt that would help.
I have no fear, NJ was clutching their seats until 4.3 seconds were left in the game
Yeah, as was SA, but again, who won the game?
If Kobe and Shaq couldn't do it in 6 what the hell makes you think Kidd and Co can?
I hate LA, and I hate Kobe and Shaq, so feel free to talk all the trash about them and their entire team.

Hey, me too Vile. ;) :p
I hope the Nets win. I'm sick and tired of everyone busting on Eastern Conference teams, and I live in NY, which is close enough to NJ.
GO NETS!

Who won?
You should know better, this is a series. One game alone is all but insignificant. PHX had games 1 & 5 to crow about, LA had 2 &4, Dallas had theirs, NJ will have theirs as well no different.
SA kicked the refs butts! And NJ's too.
Parker has outscored Kidd in this series so far by 11.
In the end, in the only total that matters, it will be SA.
The series is SA 2-1, two more games to play in NJ: there is no way NJ is going to win the next two back to back against the Spurs who have the best road record in the league. Unless NJ collapses, the Spurs win this at home game 6.
It has nothing to do with what I like, or that the east is weak; it is the Spurs destiny this year.

Think the Spurs would take it.....The nets can win a one in, especially if SA would come feeling all big and mighty.....But I think the length of the bench is on the Spurs side and they would take it (As Jag said it's a series)....
Besides rumors tell me - Kidd is moving to the SA next year, no?;) He just needs to prove he is worth it.....

Obviously it's a series, but *every* single game is important, and if you don't know that, then...that's another story. It's especially true for games like this, when we get closer and closer to the final one.

I feel that you are underestimating New Jersey. They are going to nip at San Antonios heels the whole way through and take it in seven. I think San Antonio is a great team but I dont feel that they can beat the Nets!

I hope you got the salt to go with those syllables.
I will paypal $$ on the Finals $50 if you wish to take the bet.
Put yo money where yo mouth is.
Money talks, suckers walk.
I was raised a Southern Baptist, I still don't gamble on games of chance.
No lotto, dice, slots, 21, nothing.
I only bet on sure things. Since so little in this life is certain that doesn't leave room for much.
But be certain of this.
SA will win.
Are you so sure of NJ's ability that you will place money on it?
Or is this just more of your verbal static that you really don't want to back up?
Put up.
Or shut up.
And no, SA isn't interested in Kidd. Way too pricey for what he offers to bring.
SA already has the better point guard, Claxton is shaping up to be an ideal in rotation.
Kidd would have to take a big cut in pay, not likely.
The real looker is Kevin Garnet, his contract with the Twolves ends next year and he becomes a free agent. With Robinson being gone, SA will have oodles to lure Garnet here.
The Lakers are in a bind with regards to the spending cap.
If Garnet wants a Divison Title as well as a solid shot at the Ring.
It's SA or LA.
He gets more money, ball time, and a finals shot with SA.
With LA, he has to deal with Kobe and Shaq hogging the ball time too.
Garnet or not, SA is going to be a basketball powerhouse for the next 5 years.

I can respect that.
If that is the currency of your realm so be it, I'll accept.
But I am a gentleman of Southern Distinction, I will pay you $50.00 USD if'n I'm wrong, so technically you have nothing to lose.
But as I see it neither do I.

Lol, thank you but that's not necessary, so if you're wrong, just agree to keep coming back and continuing your debates ;)

Wow this thread got really heated really quickly! I am really interested to see where things go as this series goes deeper and deeper. Actually the struggle between all of us fans is greater than the struggle between the Spurs and Nets!!!
JAGPANZER

It might seem so.
The only struggle here is Vile coming to grips that I'm right.
GAME 5

Not a mousy 2 or 1 point by-the-skin-on-your-as-s-victory
