Sound Lags in Unreal Tournament

HI,

My problem is when i play unreal tournament, it runs great for about 30 seconds, then the sound starts lagging and crackling reall bad behind the video , Do you know how to fix this or what it is?

Hi, and welcome to the forums :)

Does this happen only with UT, or other games too?


Which sound card do you have?

Try updating the drivers for your sound card, and maybe updating your game version of UT.

The problem can occur by not updating your hardware, try updating UT http://www.unrealtournament.com try reinstalling the game.

i got the same sorta problem wit UT, i start the game all the sounds there in the intro and main screen an all but when i play a game single or multi i have no sound, then 2-3mins later the sound will start cracklin and **** and then the sound will be there :S. i havent updated my sound drivers yet, i got onboard sound. its called Avance AC'97 audio.

anybody got some ideas?
