Is there anyway I can play a DOS game on Win2k.... as it uses Command rather than MSDOS.

Don't know much about DOS, but you can try this:
Start --> Accessories --> DOS command (black screen)
Now type the path to the game's exe file. (like C:/program files/game/game.exe or something)
Hope this is what you were looking for
Cheers but no :(.
On Windows2000 its NOT DOS as far as im aware. Its the same with XP.

it should work in the Start---------->Run-----------> and then type command.
I knew that. Just some games aren't compatible with certain OS'.
Wondering if there are any soloutions

Grab a copy of DOS 6.22 and install. Then go grab Winddows for Workgroups 3.11. Best platform if ever there was one :)
U should be able to right mouse click on the games .exe file and select compatibility mode. Set the mode to DOS. This should allow the game to run :)

There is to ways to play dos games.
The easies would be to get windows xp. I played just reacently Doom2 and Duke and they work great, along with crusader no regret. So windows xp plays dos games great.
If you want to play dos games on win 2000, its not going to happen. Dos it totaly removed from win2k.
So if you like windows 2000 the best thing to do is to partition your hard drive in 2 parts. Make one in NTFS files system for windows 2000 and make that the bigest. And make a very small partition in FAT 32 and stick on win 98se or windows me. That way you can play all dos games.
But I would highly recommend making the switch to windows Xp Pro.
A lot more features, more stable, can handle more memory better, a lot stronger support for all software and hardware. So go get a copy. You will not regret the switch.

Not easy to play dos games on Windows 2000, if possible at all.
Try and make a boot disk.
Have a look here http://www.bootdisk.com/

Yea, I have a PCgamer (bette that CGW) and it has a huge artile on it, but again that is for playing old dos games in windows 98/me and windows xp. So it still won't work for 2000.
