Help!!! can't play Civilzation 3!

I have install Civillization 3 successfully in Windows XP. But when I run it, it show me the confused, multi-image embedded on one another front menu screen. What should I do? I can hear the music still playing well. Please help!!!

Is it installed from the original CD?

Try updating it with the latest patch:

Also update your graphic card drivers.
Are you sure this game is Win XP compatible? If not, you may to install a compatibility patch (as Vile suggested)
