Symantec Error

I turned my comp on today and found this as seen in screen...it gave a link and i put it behind it for you to see

What is wrong? Was I hacked or something?

You have been attacked by a hacker or a virus yes. It tried to mess with your antivirus software, but it failed :)
So I think it's okay... doing a complete system scan won't harm tho ;)

Do as Symantec says and run live update, then a full scan.

Do you have a firewall mate ?

If not, get Zone Alarm.

I did this to my router that had a firewall...i disbaled the windows xp firewall and the firewall in my router i think...heres what i did in these links

but if i get zone alarm then i have to mess around so i can play pc games or even host games in halo online :( If it was easy I might get zone alarm

Can't you try to find out what file is infected (if it's a virus)? Maybe this file may just be deleted (many viruses place themselves in cookies)

Do u have some other program that blocks stuff from internet, i had a similar problem with, avast and zonealarm pro, becouse avast checks internet trafic for viruses so the two programs had some compatibility problems.

It looked like an atack by a hacker with trojan, but there were no atacks and no viruses, so...

It's no problems mate.

Just set ZA to medium or low when playing.

Every program that you use, ZA will ask if it can get permission.

When you gave permission, ZA won't disturb that program / game.

You could also shutdown ZA while playing :)

Guess its a bug, do as above update your virus scanner and scan your whole computer for viruses if u find it delete it straight away.
