need for speed hot pursuit 2 careng.viv help

i have recently purchased need or speed hot pursuit 2 and was quite disapointed that it ran from the cd and not the hard drive so i used a no-cd fix which requires copying of the

\actors
\AI
\Audio
\Cars
\Movies
\Particle
\Tracks

folders, the problem i have is that inside the audio folder there is a file called careng.viv that i think has the copy protection on it so i cant copy it 2 the nfshp2 dir. does anyone know where i could download the careng.viv file or how i can get around that

hmmmmmmmmmm i found another careng.viv file in the demo version but it still doesnt have an engine sound when i play without the cd anyone got ne 1 got ne ideas?????

Use the edit button next time ;)
And what happens if you copy all the files inside the audio folder manually and just let the .viv file on the CD?

Don't know much about this, but give it a shot, it might work anyways.

I have had nothing but problems with this game, running of off cd just slows everything well down :mad: have tried everything to get it running good but i have had no joy!

what i did was copy te files u need from the cd then the files that i think have the copy protection on em eg careng.viv, siren.viv, from the audio files from the demo and then use the no cd but i still dont have car egine sound but it runs nicely from the harddisk

Glad it is sorted now. I suggest you backup these famous files on some safe place ;)
