wrong version problem with no-cd patch

i was testing X-plane 6.50

i installed this game - then tried the no-cd patch, but it says "wrong version - or have you already cracked the game?"

but the no-cd patch IS 6.50 version

Anyways, get the latest patch for the game from www.megagames.com , then get the crack which has the same version as ther patch and apply it (a version is something like for example v1.05 or something like that)

NOTE: you will have to recopy the mohaa.exe file from the original CD to the game folder before being able to apply the patch

the problem is that the game X-plane is downloadable as a demo, like that you don't have a cd, you just download it and are limited to 5 minutes of joystick gameplay, the game checks if you own the cd - when it finds out there is no cd, it works as a demo - only five minutes of joystick activity

no-cd patch for this game makes it work as if you had the cd -
the patch should tell hte game that the cd is there

as the game has a lot of versions as it is being developed, each version needs its specific no cd patch

i found the version 6.50 - it is not so old and I found the patch for it - but for some reason it says the version is wrong

i am afraid there are some old registries in my windows that suggest that i have already used various versions - but i have no idea how these registries change the most important file: X-plane 650. exe ? The no-cde patch should address this very file and nothing else or why should it mess with some registries?

Anyway, do you have an idea how to get rid of all old files that have something to do with "wrong version" without smashing my windows into pieces?

And one little excuse I am trying to use the no-cd patch

- i tried to by the original game on the net but don't have the RIGHT kind of credit card. I was willing to pay 60 bucks for the game no matter how many bugs it has. Now I am trying to paly the old version just to see if I can really enjoy the game and what possibilities it has - i guess a good demo should be about reducing the number of planes or countries or daytime but not just 5 minuts of gameplay - it is too too little to find out about a game

Maybe the patch you have is for a diferent language, some games, like mohaa for example, have english and german versions(or other languages) if you apply a crack for english version and you have the german it may not work, also the crack may be corrupted, try downloading another
