pioneer dvd-r

just bought one brand new but it comes without cables if i want to change it for my cd-r writer can i just plug my dvd-r straight into the cables for that. p.s my writer is a second drive also will i have to delete my creative cd-r from the device manager first before fitting the dvdwriter thanks:doh:

Just replace the CDrw with the DVDrw M8 .. easy as that .. but ensure that the jumper switch is set to the same setting as the one on the drive you are removing ;)

Edit: .. you may have to update some progs .. such as CloneCd & CDRWin to the latest versions, if the ones you have do not recognise your DVDrw ;)
