I just bought splinter cell and when i tried to run it after installation, i get this error

:History: FD3DTexture::
Cache <- UD3DRenderDevice::CacheTexture
<- UD3DRenderDevice::PrimeResources <- UD3DRenderDevice::SetRes
<- UWindowsViewport::TryRenderDevice <- UWindowsViewport::OpenWindow
<- UGameEngine::Init <- InitEngine

Does anyone know what this means?!?!?..the readme file that came with the game was no help.....

BTW...Specs are

Just from looking at the post I'd say it is a Direct 3D error, which is directly related to your video card. But you haven't stated which OS you are on or which videocard. Also, what videocard drivers are you using?

Please give your specs so we can get a better idea of what you are working with ?

If you have Win XP and a GeForce Nvidia 32Mb, you can try to install the Win 2000/Win XP drivers which you can get here (http://www.nvidia.com/view.asp?IO=winxp-2k_44.03)

Upgrade your video card, Tnt2's and older video cards dont do very well running the newest games

Updated your video card driver to 44.03. Make sure you are not overclocking your card. Also, your memory might be toasted. I mean your RAM. It might have some problems so any applications or games using the memory might not work properly and thus the errors.

Hmmm, I agree with Morpher as well...32 Mb is quite slow for such a game. :(
Even if it fits the minimum requirements, 32 Mb is really low.
