Can a Pc connevt to a Machintosh?

Hello i have a Ftp server and my friend has a Mach and i have a Pc. however we seem to be unable to connect. We were wondering if it was at all possible to connect a pc and a mach.

If u know how that would also help. Thanks!

I believe only NEWER Macs can actually be networked to a PC if that answers your question. Long-line FTPs may be different, I dont know. Possibly, you are doing something wrong. As I know that there are no difference between FTP on a MAC or FTP on a PC, I know it can HAPPEN. I am just unsure about compatability limitations. I DO believe that Macs use different default ports for CONNECTING to and MAKING FTP servers, so try having your MAC friend find out what port he is using to make this server. Then when you type it in, type this (without brackets) [ftp://<adresss>:port] - example [ftp://Aman9090iscool:27015]
