Can someone help,I need the command to format a pc in DOS mode I need some help plus I need the command to install a program in DOS too :D any help has my thanks:D

Format is the commando to format the hdd.

well make sure you have a boot disk before you format it. Then at the C:\ i think it's "format c:\" after thats done, pop in the boot disk and reboot. And install your new OS

i dont thing c:\ can reformat c drive, im not sure but if not then change to a different drive.
as for installing a program in dos change to the directory where your proggy is (using --> cd <--- for change directory), then find the install file... which could be a .exe, .bat, or .com extention
this is all off the top of my head so if in doubt check the site above

yeah you can format the Hard drive from the c:\ i've done it loads of times when i was running ME...the thing would get so screwed up i'd have to format the hard drive

I always formated C: from A:
But if you have the format commando on C: it should work.

It works if typed in c:\.
Type "format c: /q" for a quick format
