What an awful game the Lakers had last night eh?! 114 to 95 San Antonio. Any Laker fans in the house?
I personally think the Lakers will not make it through to the finals this time. San Antonio is just playing too dang well.

I don't really care who wins, but I don't like Shaq and Kobe, so go Spurs! :D
Mavericks scored like 83 points in the first half last night, crazy!!!

Van Exel said they would study the Phoenix tapes to do what they did to SA....lose in 6 after winning the first?
bwahahahaha
The Mavs are going down, no NBA team ever won on offense alone.
The Spurs are #1 ranked in wins, and #1 ranked in defense.
The Mavs ranked #3 in wins, and is at the bottom of the top 15 teams ranked defensively.
Here in SA they are called the 'allas Mavericks because they gotz no "D".
Spurs in 6 against Mavs
Spurs in 5 over Nets

I personally hate the Lakers. The team that I like are the Sacromento Kings, who could have made the finals last year
I'm so glad the lakers are out of this tourney. I hate them, and it was great to see those tears coming from Kobe's eyes.
I was going for the Kings, but since thats not happening, I'll stick with the NJ Nets ;)

I'm on the West Coast, so of course, I agree with you ;)
There are quite a few NBA teams located all over that i tend to watch, because they have players that were at my Uni.
i.e. Kings have Bibby, and he went to the Uni of Arizona, Nets have Jefferson, who also went to U of A, etc.
So many of our guys are doing well in the NBA (Gilbert Arenas, Michael D1ckerson, Jason Terry, etc)

What is this with you guys seeming to always favor losers.
Even IF the Kings had beat the Mav's with their team 100% intact.
The Spurs would have pummeled them in 5 games or outright shamed them in a game 6.
The Nets haven't a prayer. It shows how shallow a team really is when one half axe western division vet (Kidd) can carry one eastern team over the rest of the east.
Kidd left Phoenix because he wanted a ring(Marbury will wise up to that fact soon enough).
But one man can not defeat a 5 man team.
Not Kidd and his sidekicks.
Not Kobe, Shaq, and Co.
Not Bibby, Webber, and Co.
Duncan, Parker, Robinson, Ginobili, Bowen, Jackson, Willis, and even Kerr can pull a rabbit outta his hat. Our bench is as lethal as our starters.
With Dallas minus Bradley, and Nowitzky, a limiping Nahara; they have one tall man guarding the inside....the Spurs can score at will.
The Nets will get hammered in 5, I'm giving them a win even though it's not unlikely for the Spurs to blow them out of the water in a 4 game sweep.

I think not. If the kings had their star player, Webber, they would have done much better.
Spurs? C'mon, I know your in San Antonio, but please. Their whole season has been a fairy tale, filled with luck, that's it. The only key player they have is Duncan. Robinson? The old mans time has come and gone.

You best test your water for lead levels.
Luck?
Yeah right, whatever helps you sleep.
It was 'luck' that every team of significance lost to SA?
Yeah, they just 'let' SA take the win.
It helps if you know a bit about the sport to comment on it.
Duncan wasn't given an MLP: Most Lucky Player.
Popovich wasn't given coach of the year for all the other times he was overlooked.
SA is ranked #1 in the NBA because of wins. True some wins were narrow, others were blow outs; it's the nature of the game.
A 'lucky' team is not going to win a 7 game series period, Dallas is testament to that.
I'll give the Mav's props in that they exhibited some defensive aggression in games 1 & 5, but it helped that the Spurs didn't bring their game to those shows for whatever reason.
As for Webber, I'll give you that the Kings would have beat Dallas for sure.
But no how, no way, was SAC going to get by SA.
Check the roster stats of the teams!
SA has one of the(if not THE) deepest bench in the league.
Duncan-2x MVP
Bowen- top 3 point shooter
Robinson-MVPx, a classic athelete
Ginobili-Argentina's Kobe, this is his FIRST YEAR BUDDY he's going to be a monster when he matures
Jackson-awesome all around player(an ex-Net to boot)
Parker-France's Kobe, this is his FIRST YEAR AS WELL GOOBER, he will be a superstar in no time
Willis-an old timer with a ton of heart, you overlook him at your own peril
Kerr-aka white Jordan, the four NBA rings on his fist would put a good knot on your noggin- a legendary 3 point shooter
Rose-His heart belongs to that of an 8 footer, a very pivotal player who will go all out for that extra second
Ferry-another old timer that is good for checking any opposing teams rough housing, a solid player in clutch time
And so on and so on.
You don't get to be Western Division champs by luck alone.
SA beat teams in 7 game series, on the opposing sides home court.
You could have saved alot of space Vile by just posting,
"Those grapes probably were sour anyway."
Because that's all you're in effect saying.
Check your NBA stats, SA has alot more than Duncan scoring. Suffice to say that Duncan hasn't been the highest scoring Spur in the playoffs, our bench has thrown dirt on top of everyone we faced.
Our team is better than anybody's right now.
It must grind some peoples butts to see my prognostications be almost dead on.
I said SA over the Mav's in 6, I also said Kerr was still known to pull rabbits out of his hat.
He played maybe 8 minutes during the whole season and got around 2 points.
He played 13 minutes in the playoffs and scored 12 points.
It's called being a clutch player.
If NJ doesn't win it in 5 games or less, they aren't going to win.
Period.

;)
I'll give them that game, since they actually came back and won it, but that's about all the credit they get from me.
Quick note on Duncan, it's not all about scoring my friend, doing good on the floor makes a HUGE difference.

Uh yeah?
Because the other teams kept double and triple teaming Duncan, whenever they collapsed onto Duncan; the perimeter shooters or inside monsters would wreck havoc. If they took their guys off Tim to cover the other players, BAM! POW! SLAM! Tim hammered them.
MORE OFTEN THAN NOT.
The truth belies your experience. I watch alot of NBA(league pass bruddah).
SA is simply a powerhouse. The only teams that even came close, have been defeated.
If I lived in Timbuktu, SA would still be kicking a$$ and taking names.
I got two words for Jason Kidd.

Well.....
I can understand your point from a purely philosophical view pro-ball chicanery vs NCAA game for the game's sake.
But hell, I've heard that same argument for WNBA too.
