Don't ask for Warez, cracked Demo's, illegal stuff or Serials (CD-keys) !

I thought that it could be helpful to make one single thread in which I post some useful links that help people to solve the problem: "How do I make a working back-up of a game, if I can't find a crack for it ?"

--FIRST OF ALL--
The tricks given in the original thread will NOT make any NOCD Cracks. It only helps you to BACKUP your game, and not to CREATE or find NOCD Cracks.
So in fact, it's no use to ask a No-CD crack here, as these tricks and tips are quite useless to create No-CD cracks.

Note that this thread is for if you really can't find it. Don't come here and ask for a crack if you didn't even searched for it! You can find a list of Legal Crack Sites in the Links Section here:

--LETS START--
Download ClonyXXL (http://www.cdmediaworld.com/hardware/cdrom/cd_utils_2.shtml#ClonyXXL) and use it to scan the CD you want to back up. Clony will tell you what protection the game has.

Many protected games (like the ones Protected by the SafeDisk series) can be backed up without having to crack or apply a crack to it, if you use CloneCD. You can get a trial version of it here (http://www.slysoft.com/en/download.html). It is mostly a good idea to backup the game at low speed (2x recommended). The only problem with CloneCD is that your writer has to be supported by it, you can check that by clicking here (http://www.xlsoft.com/jp/products/clonecd/a.html)

If you still can't back up your game correctly, but you do know what protection it has, have a look here (http://www.cdmediaworld.com/hardware/cdrom/cd_protections.shtml), it's a list of all the existing game protections, + a description, + tips on how to back it up. This list also contains links to free backupping and cracking tools.

If your game is quite recent, it is higly probable that if you don't find a crack for it, the crack simply hasn't been created yet. Have some patience... Some cracks are only created and uploaded a few weeks after the game's release, so keep checking the suggested crack sites regularly for updates.

It seems that Alchohol 120% is quite a good burning programme as well if the writer is supported by it. According to LordGerion, it can bypass SecuROM. So it's worth trying. Get it here: Alchohol 120% (http://www.alcohol-software.com/)

ClonyXXL isn't designed to backup games, it's designed to detect what protection a CD has, and it detects most of the existing protections. Clony also has more recent versions, so normaly it detects anything. If you are talking about CloneCD, then you may be right, but newer versions of CloneCD are released quite often, so if the current CloneCD can't back it up, chances are big that the next version will be able to.

And @Noodles: yes, there is a way to see how easy it is to backup a game: when clonyXXL scans, and detects, it also shows an amount of skulls. The more skulls there are, the more difficult it is to back it up. If you can't find the crack, and you don't have a cloneCD supported writer, you should first detect the protection, and then, when you know that, do a search on www.spacetarget.com or www.crackstore.com to see if you can find tools which can remove the protection from the exe file (or other protected files) for you. (like Safedisc cleaner, etc), but there are no tools for every protection... but as CL says: everything is somehow backupable, It all depends on what protection it is. SecuROM for example can't be backed up easily, there is a way to do it, but it's complicated, and time-wasting, so better is to use a no-cd crack in that case. ;)

If you really can't find a solution, you can just back up the game, and play it with a no-cd crack (if you find one of course) untill you get a new Writer :)

if its somebody interresting! I found alochol 120%! At the one hand its a good emulater and on the other hand its fine burning program!
I don't know if its my plextor writer or not, but i was able to copy the game aquanox2 with securom new v4.xxx . without needing a game crack afterwards.
So if you have problems for new games to get game-cracks, try alcohol 120% http://www.alcohol-software.com/ maybe it's a little help!
it also gets all other copy protections

Hi Well Im not sure what happened.. I down loaded your "A good guide on how to install game cracks" After downloading it I tried to open it and got a messg. stating it couldnt open this kinda file. GameCrack.PDF it asked me if I wanted win. to search I replied with a yes then it brought me right back to your posting in MegaGames. I tried 2 times with the same results. I put it on my D:\ as GameCracks.PDF which is what it downloaded as. Neither times could I find it. Then I did a search which turned it up. Windows still said it couldnt open this kinda file. Which I guess its refering to a PDF. Oh im running WinXP pro. And I have the latest Adobe Acrobat. Im sure its something Im doing wrong but I cant figure out what. Please forgive a noobie. Easy stuff. Get CloneCD, and copy the game at low speed (2x recommended).
I also know that FAST ERROR SKIP has to be enabled to backup SafeDisk 2 protected games... I don't know if that option has to be enabled for SafeDisk 1, but it costs nothing to enable it ;)

If that still fails, make an image file of the original and apply some SafeDisk removing tools (like DEAMON, etc) on the image. Then burn the image on CD. Tools can be found at www.gamecopyworld.com
I don't guarantee it will work, but it's certianly worth trying.

Yo Spy 005 i have Enter the Matrix but i am trying to make a backup i could copy sucsessfully the first 3 CDs but the Fourth the play disc just won't copy with nero nor with alcohol 120% nor cloneCD and ClonyXXL when i use it to detect the protection it just hangs and does not tell me anything! I tried copying the CD to the Harddrive first but it also hangs i really need your help in getting it backed up even when i tell the burning program to copy and not to compile it doesn't work do you have an answer??

Hm. Okay, no problem. First of all, download ClonyXXL by clicking HERE (http://www.cdmediaworld.com/hardware/cdrom/cd_utils_2.shtml#ClonyXXL)
(take the one saying Clony XXL v2.0.1.5 [ENGLISH/GERMAN] (29-04-2003) [237 KB])

Once downloaded, open ClonyXXL. Make sure your CD is in the CD-ROM drive. Then click on the big "Scan" button to detect what protection it has. Once you know the protection, let me know.

@Emma: You should try to recopy the original .exe file in the game folder (you may need to uninstall and reinstall the game), then find the latest patch, and then apply a crack (which has the same version as the patch)

I´ve got some serious trouble with cracking the game Europa 1400: The guild. I know which protection it has got and I´´m trying to burn the game with alcohol 120% to get past that. But it is not working. The game is protected by secuROM *new* V 4.77.00.0036

I´ve only got the disc on an iso file so i don´t know if that makes any difference.

Still i would like to have some tips for how to burn it.

It´s broken, the disc is so scratchy that my player wont read it. But a friend also had it so i took an image file of his game. But then when i patched it, the game wouldn´t play because of the "non-real" disc.

First I´d like to thank you for your tips.

Then I´ll get to the next problem:

There are no cracks for any other version than 1.0 of the game and I´ve got 1.5.

When I try to run the 1.5 version with the 1.0 crack it works but all buttons and text on the menu looks all messed up with some kind of strange alien language =).

Are there any easy way to make my own no-cd crack for the game?

I have the same problem. ClonyXXL doesn't find the protection of Beyond Good & Evil, but I found out it uses TAGES.

I want to make a backup of my Beyond Good & Evil game,
but Alcohol 120% doesn't take TAGES.

I've read about TAGES on cdmediaworld.com, but it said to use ClonyXXL for detection, and replace original exe with fixed exe for backup solution.

The thing is, I have the fixed exe, but I want to make a backup that works w/o replacing the exe manually.
Is that possible?
Maybe replace the .exe in the bin file or something?

What program should I use to make the images since Alcohol 120% doesn't take TAGES?

I downloaded a crack for morrowind and did everything and when I press it to start it says 'Could not find the movie file Bethesda logo.bik on the cd'

Do you know what the problem could be?

Also I downloaded a crack for Lord Of The Rings: War Of The Rings and when I click it, it goes into black screen for about 1-2 secs and then goes back to desktop, no errors no nothing. I have by far a decent computer to run it so the fualt is not there.

To be brief if your concern relates to contributory infringement of copyright in the related software then allowing posting of info regarding cracks would seem to be equally 'contributory'. There can be number of real problems with taking a copyright action against the board owner. The serials could be requested by someone who has lost / damaged their CD cover and serial number. In a number of jurisdictions ISP's and board providers are not considered to contribute to the actions of their users (similar to the gun lobby arguments - the supplier of the gun is generally not responsible for what the user of a gun does with it).

In many jurisdictions contributory infringement requires actual infringement to have occurred. Proof of actual infringement can be very difficult to establish and then proof that the infringer used the serial from this board and not some other board. Finally damages can be difficult to access.

dude wat nocd crack are u talking about? and maby u should try looking for the one u need at megagames or post a new thread about it and maby someone will answer your request. i don't see why ur so mad about ir u have the original they will be more than happy to help you but if u don't then ur screw. it sounds like u do so then u should have no trouble at all

I use Gamejack and recommend it, it has copied many CDs and is fast. I've done everything from new pc games, playstation games, Microsoft Windows & Office CDs, etc. It basically scans for copy protection on the CD or during the installation, and emulates copy protection, fools the program into thinking it's the original CD, and best of all, let's you play with no cds. I only post this link because it is a great program. Comes with Clony XXL, but I've never needed to run it seperately. There are pre made profiles for different copy protection. I usually copy at full speed (48) or 32x. It has much better technology than Alcohol, and was alot cheaper. You can try it out for 15 days, no limitations and see if it works for the games you are having trouble with.

Tis cool , Im just pissed at the major corps not allowing ' other' compaines to run THEIR own drivers. I got a mail back frm the LG company to tell me basically that the driver I d/l' ed frm them (LG, The right cd/rom driver) is now permantly on my system and would have to contact Microsoft to get them to send me a special driver cleaner for my windows rego key or just make do!! pffttt...its rubbish really...There was nothing to warn people of such a hassel. Forgive if I sounded hot but man I bugs me. Then ya get some peeps posting that all NoCD hunters are cheat skates...not true. Peace.

Hy, I own 182 original games. To keep my collection in good condition i normally use the original disc ones, and that's to make a backup from it.
Never had any real problem untill i bought dtm2 (toca) race driver 2.

ok...I probably easily find a crack for red faction if I wasn’t behind a fire wall and websence (I’m in Iraq and that is the only way I can get on the internet)...but I need a no-cd crack for red faction 2...the dust is reeking havoc on my cd so I’m trying to stop taking all my cds to work...any replies or help with this matter would be greatly apprenticed

Hey, I live in Saudi Arabia and I feel your pain :( It is so hard to do things with websense and the firewall and you can barely play any games online. As for your problem, try http://www.gameburnworld.com/ It is not blocked by websense and has a lot of no cd cracks.

if u have the original cd (regardless of scratches etc.) with proper purchase bills, you can claim the company for the non working of the patch and get a new cd from them... another advise, untill and unless you're sure about what the patch will do, and it does not affect the game, *do not* apply the same... pupubhai

I was wondering why you do not permit requests for serials. To be brief if your concern relates to contributory infringement of copyright in the related software then allowing posting of info regarding cracks would seem to be equally 'contributory'. request the publishers of the game to give 2 copies of each game with the packing and nobody shall ask for a crack, except for... the obvious... the serial is cleanly printed on the cd box, so why would one ask for the serial??? again, the obvious... pupubhai!
