Just burn the image as normal, using CDR-Win, FireBurner, etc. Sometimes images show up as being larger than the normal 700 MB, but they will burn fine.

I wouldn't recommend deleting files from it, but if you want, you can extract + install without burning, by extracting the image using ISO Buster (http://www.isobuster.com)

hello tenyo, am curious as to how to back up ps 1&2 games.....am fairly new to the pc world, but i think i have all the hardware, and maybe even sw, just not sure about the exact process....the other night i made a back up of soldierof fortune 2 , it plays fine, but then i tried to do the same with hitman 2 and it will not play unless you start it with the original cd, these are the pc versions mind you just wanted to demonstrate that i "KINDA" have an idea ya know.

To backup Ps1 games, you can use either CloneCD, Blindwrite or CDRWin to make 1:1 image (I personally recommend CloneCD since it serves me well). I think you could do the same thing with PS2 games if they are CDs not DVD discs. As for PC games, I believe different PC games have different copy protected patches installed within each game so you have to choose the right settings within the burning software correspond to the copy protected patch. For example, if the game uses Safedisc V2 protection, then you have to set the program's option so it can burn games with safedisc V2 protection.

Hope this helps.

About BIN files... click on the first link in my signature. All is explained there.
If the file is only 718 Mb, you can easily overburn. with Nero for example, do this: file-->Preferences-->Tab expert features-->Set the time function to 79 Min 59 Sec, and when you start burning, Nero will ask if you want to overburn, so just confirm.

NOTE:Make sure your Writer supports overburning, if it does not, it can be harmful

If you have a .bin file, don't you have to have the .cue file to tell the program where to put the files or whatever?

you can extract bin/cue whatever files using WINISO and burn it with any burning software

Cool .So say I have a .bin file .I don't need the cue file at all to burn and extract the .bin file to the cd?

You can make the cue file yourself very easily, it takes 5 min to do it. Open an empty notepad text and copy this in it:

FILE "nameofimage.bin" BINARY
TRACK 01 MODE1/2352
INDEX 01 00:00:00

where nameofimage.bin is the name of the bin file. Now just save this file under whatever name, and change it's extention from "txt" to "cue", and copy it in the same folder in which the bin is located.

To burn it, open Nero, go to file-->Burn image and browse to the cue file you just created, open it and start burning. If both cue and bin are in the same folder it should work fine.

you don't have to open the cue file... that's not an image.

For the rest I think you can also use IsoBuster (http://www.smart-projects.net/isobuster/)

Fireburner burns bin & cue great, also Cdrwin

you can also use Daemon Tools to load an image and install without burning it to a cd
