Right..

Im trying to apply a theme to windows xp. Its called chrome4.

It SHOULD look like this:

http://files.themexp.org/screenshots/vs/1836.jpg

but it doesn't. I cant get it to work.

readme says:
Patch Windows XP with UXTheme Util
Extract files (with full path) to %WINDIR%\Resources\Themes\
Select theme from "Display Properties" or double-click .theme-file.

Ive patched xp with the SP1 version of uxtheme utility and extracted all the files to c\windows\resourcec\themes

and I get this mess:

Any ideas?

Cheers

You need to download style xp and do it through that

You will only get a trial version but you can pay for the full thing after so many days.

I tried downloading style xp, but it said that my system cannot be patched (or similar)... so I did this instead... :(

edit: I tried again after applying this sp1 xp theme patch.. still no luck.

BEFORE YOU READ:
-------------------------
Ok 1st of all before you read this, I want you to know that the explanations here are for you to understand, they are realy easy so if you confused them w/ me telling you that your stupid, IM NOT! Its just im trying to make it as easy as possible

EXPLANATION
------------------------
1) The 1st thing you are gonna do is delete ALL the "chrome4" Themes you have installed. To do this all you have to do is click on the chrome4 theme and then click on the "DELETE SELECTED THEME " Tab.
(click here for picture w/ arrows) (http://www.thenautika.com/noky/misc/themexp.jpg) (black arrows show selected theme, red arrow shows "delete selected theme" tab. )

2) Now that you have deleted the Themes, Download the chrome4 Theme. (when you download it click on "OPEN AS" on the WINZIP)

3) Extract the files to the SyleXP folder. THE ONE ON THE RESOURCE FOLDER! (C:\WINDOWS\Resources\Themes\StyleXP)

4) Open up SyleXP and Apply your selected Theme.

OH YEAH! If its an .exe file one you extract it RUN IT! (should be a gimme, but still. LOL)
