Ok guys...
I have animated a logo (which I designed) in Swift 3D.
I have put a flat shape in so that I can have my object cast a shadow.
The problem is, that the flat shape is reflecting in the logo. So there is a huge line running across my logo...
I dont want to change the texture of the logo.. so has anyone got any ideas of how to solve this.. cheers.
*BTW: this is my fist ever attempt at 3d animation...*

well forget the shadows..
Does anyone know how to convert swf files to animated gif?
Cheers
Jamez
EDIT: Dont worry.. I found out how to do it.. :)
So now I tell you if you want to know:
open flash
change size of document to the same as the gif file
then press file, then export movie
make sure you enable transparency if thats what you want.

The best programs for animations would be flash MX. You can get some very easy books on it and you will be up and running in no time at all. Very powerful program. And you can see how popular it is.Once you get good at it, head over to macromedia's web site. They have a part on there where companys or people are looking for say jsut a flash banner, or say maybe flash buttons. Then people will bid on it to get it. Check it out. I started using the Macromedia software a while back and I love it. I used to use frontpage(GAG) and adobe photoshop.
But with the new macromedia programs, the work great together. Even a lot of the hard core hand coders are switching over to dreamweaver mx or starting to use it. Anyways macromedia software rules.Check it out.

There are NO trial versions of Swift 3D, so don't bother looking. You have to buy it from a shop.
You can get a demo of flash MX from www.download.com
It is not easy to do anything 3d with flash on its own. :)
