I want to buy/rent a domain name that I can use to forward my email and re-direct my website.

Basically, I thought it would be a good idea to get a domain name, so that I have one email and one website address, so that no matter how often I change my mail or web accounts, they will always have the same address.

Ok.. so...

Can anyone reccomend a good company I can go with for this. I don't want any limits on the size or quantitly of emails that can be forwarded, or any bandwidth limits whatsover on the domain forwarding. (this may be unlikely, but it is crutial to what I need)

I also want it to be as cheap as possible. Im thinking about having this for life, so I want it to be cost effective.

Ive found 1 website that I can get a .co.uk domain name and email forwarding for £1.99 a year...

www.oneandone.co.uk

Can anyone reccomend anything better? -Or ever used this company? I would appreciate any info anyone has.

Cheers

try www.readyhosting.com, they pay for your domain names fee and you just pay the hosting fee and no bandwidth limit

Thanks for the link - but I dont actually want (or want to pay for) hosting. And I would really like one in the UK, so if I have any probs I dont have to pay a fortune phoning them! :)

Cheers anyway

Well I don't mind paying - but I only want a forwarding service, not hosting.

Ive just registered with 1&1 (in my original post) as thats the best deal I could find.

Cheers for your help anyway guys

thats not a bad price.

But, subliminly (however u spell it)... people hate .co.uk's rather than .coms

(and we give unlimited mail addresses and a catch all change. we also offer web based e-mail)

i like the idea of .uk and .au 's more so it makes it easier to recognise whats from your country and whats international... user preferences i guess

well take a look yourself -

you get unlimited domain and email forwarding up to 50 different e-mail forwarding addresses, and 1 forwarding address for all 'lost' mail for that price.

They do the '.com' for £8.99
