hitman 2 problems

i installed a copied version of hitman 2 on my hp machine(xp home)when i startup the game ,i get the error message "Direct 3d: unable to create device,try changing resolution or colour depth".....i did change resolution and colour depth and also tried to run in diff. compatability modes but still the same message.....any ideas?

ps....i have already updated my drivers and have direct x 9 installed.....i have no probs playing SOF,operation flashpoint,hitman 1 and delta force.....its really annoying me

You probably need a crack. The other games you play don't need a crack to be played with a copy I think (I have been able to make a perfect working copy of SOF 1 for example with nero, and without crack).

But why don't you use the original to install the game?
