Your questions weren't stupid... but just so you know, signature pictures don't work at MGF.

For anyone wanting to produce any graphics, I reccomend photoshop 7. This is a DEMO version.

if u wont cool animation that u wont swish v2 or flash mx.

Photoshop u can use to make parts of the banner or just banner it self but recommed that u combine the both, shwish and photoshop.

SWISH:
www.swishzone.com
FLASH MX:

first of all......"forum" should be replaced by "thread"........

AND

SWiSH and Flash are for making .swf files........and u wont be able to give cool effects to your text......they are just for animating your things...

The best programs out there for web and graphics design would me Macromedia's Mx Line. For making banners, you would either use FlashMX or Fireworks MX. Very easy to use. Just go to the book store and get a begginner book on it.Check out Amazon.com for book reviews before you chooes one. I used to use Frontpage and adobe. Now adobe photoshop is a very good program, but if you are planning on duing a website, I strongl,y recommend Macromedia's Dreamweaver, and if you are using that use fireworks over adobe. These programs work very tightly togeather. The best I have ever seen. So anyways hoped this helped.
