I have a cable modem connected to the USB and I can't connect to the internet because I have no idea where to fill in the phone number of the company my user name and password etc.
Does any one know where to go to fill in all these for cable modem?
I'm using yoper 3.2.1

I have another question and that's about installing.
I have many codes that I used to compile files, I copied the file from the cd to my desktop, and next im sure you need to compile the files, I done the tar -zxvf file.name and it showed all of these words and all of them said the "file name" no such file or directory"
and then it said "exiting because of before errors".

I screenshotted the errors and the codes I filled in, but I can't transfer them to floppy because it says this error "you must specify the file type."

Well thats the errors I have for now, but my main problem is internet and installing programs, but the one i have no clue on is the internet so if you have any clue on any website or in your mind on how to:
1.setup you modem cable?
2.installing a program?
3.making the linux box notice the type in floppy?
Please post as many info as you can because I'm in the biggest struggle i've been ever in linux.
