Info needed about a virus.

I have just got my PC working again after picking up a worm virus from the internet.
The people who fixed my pc called it the "Ka worm virus" ( i dont know if i have the spelling correct )
This virus was systematicaly deleting all my system files until it rendered my pc utterly useless.
Can anyone tell me the correct name of this virus and where to find information on it ?

do you mean the KAK worm virus? its an email based virus that causes random systems shutdowns, but i cant think of anything else other than that.

The best thing to do when a virus srewed you PC, is to format your HDD and to install everything again.
